What is ACORD®?
ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) is the global standards-setting body for the insurance industry, responsible for creating the forms, data models, and messaging frameworks that enable consistent communication between brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders. In commercial insurance, ACORD forms serve as the industry’s common language, providing a structured way to capture underwriting information so submissions are consistent, comparable, and usable by carriers.
Primble operates within this established standard by helping brokers and agencies generate ACORD forms directly from client-provided documents. Instead of manually rekeying data across multiple forms, Primble extracts, structures, and maps information into the appropriate ACORD formats. All the while, it is validating that data using its Submission Quality Score (SQS), helping ensure that the resulting ACORD forms are complete, consistent, and ready for underwriting review.
Primble is a licensed ACORD forms redistributor, meaning it is authorized to display and generate official ACORD forms within the platform. While Primble is built on top of ACORD standards, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACORD. The platform operates independently, using these standards as a foundation to improve how commercial insurance submissions are prepared.
